Explanation
This mantra explains how the preservation and development of Soma power, which is a fundamental spiritual principle of human life, can elevate a person to a higher state endowed with complete bliss, health, and capacity for action. Through the affirming word “ए (E)”, the mantra emphasizes at the very beginning that this teaching is an unchanging divine truth. “एनम् (Enam)”, known as Soma, represents the fundamental principle of life energy, bliss, and health that is formed within the human body through food, experience, and meditation. Preserving and developing this Soma within the body and mind through “सृजता (Srijata)” is presented as an important spiritual responsibility of the human being.
The moment at which this Soma is formed is referred to as “सुते (Sute)”. It is connected with inner discipline, self-control, and the development of pranic energy in a human being. When the Soma thus cultivated spreads throughout the body and mind, it gives the state of bliss, peace, and healthy happiness known as “मन्दिम् (Mandim)”. This state makes a person healthy and mentally clear.
A person who controls the senses and lives with awareness is referred to as “इन्द्राय (Indraya)”. By experiencing Soma and remaining established in meditation and divine praise, such a person attains the state of blissful experience known as “मन्दिने (Mandine)”. Through this, the power of Soma removes inner laziness and creates the movement, activity, and vitality represented by “चक्रिम् (Chakrim)”.
As a result of this power, a person gains complete involvement and ability in all duties represented by “विश्वानि (Vishvani)”. By acting enthusiastically without laziness and fulfilling the duties of life, the person attains the active and capable state represented by “चक्रये (Chakraye)”. Thus, preserving and developing Soma provides peace of mind, bliss, and health on one side, while creating efficiency, enthusiasm, and success in life on the other.
Therefore, the higher essence of this mantra is that when a human being recognizes the Soma power arising within, preserves and develops it through discipline, meditation, and awareness, that person attains a blissful, healthy, active, and complete life and becomes worthy of closeness to the Divine and spiritual elevation.
Conclusion
This mantra clearly teaches that the true elevation of a human being does not lie in external achievements, but in the preservation and development of the inner Soma power. This Soma, formed through food, experience, and meditation, spreads throughout the body, mind, prana, and intellect. When this happens, it brings a person into the peaceful state known as “Mandi”, characterized by health, bliss, and mental clarity.
For a person who controls the senses and lives with awareness, this Soma power provides a deeper experience of bliss and divine awareness. At the same time, it removes laziness, awakens inner strength, and creates the capacity for action and dynamic energy known as “Chakrim”. Through this, a person becomes enthusiastic in fulfilling all duties and reaches the active state known as “Chakraye”, in which life is lived with complete involvement and purposeful action.
Therefore, preserving Soma through discipline, meditation, and awareness is a higher spiritual path that makes a person both blissful and capable of effective action. Through this, the person attains balance in body, mind, and intellect and becomes capable of fulfilling life completely. This is the central philosophical teaching revealed by this mantra.
